Jeanette has a BS Degree in Recreation Leadership with an emhasis Gerontology and Administration from the University of Nebraska - Kearney. She has over 30 years experience working with the elderly.
Barb has 20 plus years experience in psychiatric nursing and over 20 years in geriatrics. She is currently employed by Health Connect through Good Samaritan Hospital - a home health and hospice service.
Custer Care, located in Central Nebraska, opened in 1991 as a free standing adult day care center.
In 1999, we purchased a house at 346 North 16th Avenue adding five rooms for assisted living. Adult day services continued to be provided at this new location. Transportation services is also available for clients to come to the Center and for medical appointments.
In 2008, Custer Care #2, located at 1020 South 2nd Avenue was purchased adding another eight rooms for assisted living and space to offer daytime respite services.
Custer Care also provides home care services for a large area in Central Nebraska. Services include personal care, shopping, housekeeping, and food preparation in the client's own home.
Custer Care is funded on a fee-for-service basis. We accept clients from all income levels. We serve people under Nebraska HHS, Medicaid Waiver, Title XX, and the V.A., as well as private pay and some long-term care insurance.

Caregivers are staffed 24/7. Licensed medication aides are staffed and direct care staff is trained in working with Alzheimer's and dementia clients.
